Even though I do lots of fluff here, my Pennywise is still a child eating, kind of evil being. I have just turned it into an AU where Pennywise changed after being defeated by the loseres club. He decided to only hunt those who are bad, who hurt others. Because he saw how strong good people were, how determined and selfless they acted, how fearless they actually are. Being able to fight him, defeat him. He learned that the bad ones are the weaker, the more fearful. Easier prey and not worth of being alive. Not able to ever kill him. Because I myself think, that Pennywises biggest fear, is dying. Why else would he be fleeing from Maturin? Why else would he have tried to handle with the losers near the end of the movie? Why would he be down in the sewer most of the time? Why would he only let Illusions appear outside while he stays in the safety of the Sewers? So I got to the conclusion of him being afraid of dying. That’s just my way of thinking. So he decided to get to know the humans first, getting to know if they are good or bad, worth of being alive or not. He STILL is a human eating monster, but he is no danger to the good ones anymore. No, in fact it’s the opposite, deciding to help the ones who need it. So, if you’re friendly to him, if you have a good heart, he will do anything for you, protect you even. If not, you will see the side of him that will make you poop your pants. He still is a sassy ass clown who might tease you, or scare you a bit out of fun, but he definitely is not dangerous to the good ones.
